Q: What is 8pron?
It is an online marketplace and community platform established to bring the food community together. Therefore, it allows aspiring cooks and provides ample opportunity to aspiring cooks and foodies to test their business ideas while sharing the simple joy in life. Find out more!
Q: How does it work?
Our platform is designed to be user-friendly. For providers, you can list any consumables you want on your profile. For buyers, click on any listing you like, check the profile and product information, then select your option for delivery/ pick-up and lastly, proceed to order confirmation. The provider will notify you once an order has been accepted.

Q: How Do I Know My Order Status?
8pron is currently working on improving the functions to make order status more convenient and efficient. As of now, when an order is accepted, your provider will get in touch with you via the in-messaging app. In case you have any concerns, raise them to the provider. You can also reach out to us via the Contact Us form.
Q: How do I pay?
Once an order has been placed, the provider will get an order notification that needs to be accepted. If the order isn't accepted within three days, it's automatically cancelled, and you are refunded the total amount.
Once accepted by the provider, the funds are put on hold until the provider fulfils the commitment. After you have received the goods and are satisfied, you have to confirm the same by clicking on 'mark as completed', so the provider will get payouts.
Q: What payment methods do you accept?
Currently, due to health and safety situations, we only accept online financial transactions. We have partnered with STRIPE, a secured third-party financial service for the purpose.
Q: Are we Halal certified?
At present, we are not Halal certified but we are working towards it. Subscribe to us to stay updated!
Q: What can I do if I am not satisfied with my order?
We are sorry! We encourage you to contact the provider first and drop us a message using the 'Contact Us’ form so that our team can assist you.
Q: How do I know if my food is hygienically prepared?
All our providers are committed and trained to have the highest standard of food handling. If you have any concerns, please feel free to reach out to us using the ‘Contact Us’ form.
Q: I am on a dietary requirement, can I still order?
Definitely! Contact the provider for more information regarding any allergen or dietary requirements.
Q: My order is wrong, what can I do?
We are sorry! Kindly contact your provider immediately. If your issue isn't resolved, please contact our team via the Contact Us form for our immediate assistance.
Q: What are the collection methods of food?
For Pick-up – Both parties will arrange and agree on a pick-up address/meeting point and time frame. (no longer than 30mins).
For Delivery – Provider can personally deliver or use a third-party delivery service, provided this has been communicated and agreed on before order confirmation.
Q: When will I get my payout?
STRIPE will handle the payout in 7 to 10 business days once an order has been confirmed, received, and completed without issues.
Q: How do I invite friends to 8pron?

Q: Are there any restrictions on what I can sell on 8pron?
Not really! You can sell just about anything except prohibited products like tobacco, alcohol, medicine, and drugs.

Q: Can I set the prices for my food?
Definitely! After all, it's your space! You can do as you like!😀
Q: What packaging should I use?
We highly recommend sustainable and biodegradable packaging. The packaging can be purchased via Amazon, eBay, and similar other sources.
Q: How often do I need to cook?
It is entirely up to you!
Q: Is there a cost for selling my food on 8pron?
If there is no sale, there is no cost. Once a purchase is confirmed, we charge 5% (subject to change). The commission charge is to maintain the platform, support communities, and encourage aspiring individuals like yourself to start their businesses.
Q: Who delivers the food?
This depends on which option you choose.
Q: Is the platform for the UK only?
Yes! Currently, we are operating in the UK market only. We hope to expand globally in the future. Meanwhile, you can continue using the platform as you see fit. Just ensure that you follow your local authority regulations.
Q: Can I post a listing in more than one location?
Definitely! This is your call! You can post unlimited listings in different locations!
Q: How do I cancel an order?
IMPORTANT: As a buyer, DO NOT confirm/mark the order completed until you have received the goods and are satisfied with them. If you confirmed the order as completed, the admin team can not do anything after!
1.The buyer should contact the provider/seller and vice versa for negotiation to cancel the agreement. If both parties agree, the buyer can cancel the order by clicking on the 'dispute' button to notify the admin team.
2. Both parties have to leave a simple note about the cancellation on the in-app messaging (same conversation box) so that the admin team can investigate and process the cancellation and refund accordingly.
"ATTN To 8pron: Please kindly kiss full/partial OR the specific amount of refund to XXX for the reason of XXX as agreed by both of us (Names of the buyer and seller)".
Depending on the cancellation type, commission or services fee will charge, which wouldn't be refunded. Please kindly refer to the cancellation policy for more information in T&C.
